| The "Karlsruhe Model" generates interest in transit agencies
around the world. The fact that passengers readily accept this
type of transit system, and the relatively low investment and operation
costs are definite advantages to this type of system. In Europe especially, many cities have either already implemented the Karlsruhe Model, or have performed feasibility studies. Outside of Germany, France is a leader for either the implementation of or planning of many systems based on the tramtrain.
